Elizabeth Petit González

Elizabeth joined the SSI Secretariat in March 2020 from her home in Copenhagen, Denmark. With a background in international business and communications and an interest in sustainability, she was interested in the private sector’s role in pushing forward the sustainability agenda, as well as the power of multi-stakeholder engagement in driving collective change. She graduated with an MSc in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School and worked with partnerships and communications in the start-up world before joining SSI.

Elizabeth is responsible for communications and partnerships at SSI, working to widen the scope of conversation in shipping from decarbonisation to a holistic approach to sustainability, and identifying like-minded organisations in the shipping and sustainability spaces.

Originally from Venezuela, she is now based in Malmö, Sweden.
