The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has launched the $3 billion Clean Ports Program to support zero-emission port equipment and infrastructure.

Created as under the Inflation Reduction Act, the Clean Ports Program aims to advance environmental justice. As part of this, there are two funding opportunities. One, a nearly $2.8 billion zero-emission technology deployment competition that aims to reduce mobile source emissions at US ports by funding zero0emission port equipment and infrastructure. The second, approximately $150 million for climate and air quality planning, will fund activities including emissions inventories, strategy analysis and community engagement.
