Maersk has a strong focus on sustainability, and in 2018 we set a target to fully decarbonize our shipping operations by 2050. So far, we have improved our energy efficiency by more than 40% since 2008, and while we continue our energy efficiency journey, we are now also on a quest to find the new energy sources that can propel Maersk and shipping into a carbon neutral future.
